I once had 2000 but I may have gone to ME before XP and so I don't
know about whether an upgrade is possble, but upgrade has two
meanings. One has a financial meaning, that not being able to upgrade
means that you have to buy a full, high priced version. The other
meaning that you can't choose the upgrade install and thus must choose
to format the drive. I don't know for certain about either, but I have
learned that MS upgrade rules are not as stringent as we once thought.
I have installed versions of Windows on more than one PC and installed
the same version on more than one computer simultaneously.
