I hope that I am reading your Post correctly! I want you to go into Safe Mode,
then Restart. Also, make sure there is no Disk in the Drive. If you still have
the issue after Restarting

Thank you, Ivan

I am unable to start my Toshiba laptop. After startup, I get a blue
screen. There is a message that it is dumping memory. It then reboots
itself and gives me the option to start in safe mode or regular. If I
restart, there is a message that windows has recvered from an error,
but the cmoputer will again reboot.

Virus-related perhaps? But I have Trend Micro Pro. Hardware related?

I live in Beijing, so language barrier is a real problem. And am afraid
of being told to replace this and that whereas there may be an easier
(and cheaper) solution.

Of course, brought this laptop back from the US and they don't carry
the model here.

Any words of advice or solutions is appreciated.
