> Do a System Recovery or Reinstall.

Of course when you can't boot, you can't do a system recovery. So if  
you can't go to safe mode or don't know what to do if you can that  
leaves reinstall. That's why it is so important to back up your own  
unique data files. Nothing will recover them if they are still on your  
hard drive if and when if fails. The best thing to ever happen to  
computing IMHO is an external hard drive. :-)
