Worst, the recession is delaying that. More over, the govt is also
delaying in announcing their WiMAX policy and allocating spectrum for
WiMAX services. Looks like the next gen telecom would take upto a
millennium here.

CDMA is there all over India. However, 3G is a different beast. It is
being 
in the process of being launched. In a year or 2 it should be available

most town.
