Hi Vetri
CDMA is there all over India. However, 3G is a different beast. It is being
in the process of being launched. In a year or 2 it should be available in
most town.

Hi Harish,
That's correct, but as I understand, CDMA is just introduced in India in
terms of 3G connections and it's not yet available nation wide. Vodaphone
certainly works in my village, but does it applicable to the data
connection as well? I mean, Have they been using CDMA which works allover
India? But you are right that the data card will certainly work in USA and
UK.

Hi Vetri
CDMA could get better speeds than GSM.
Vodaphone too has a datacard and probably you can use the hardware at US
too.

Hello Subramani,
I guess it can be useful to me whenever I visit India as well. So would
appriciate if you could provide me steps to aptaine the data card and
does one also require reliance mobile connection to use it? If so, then
will it work with their latest GSM sims that they introduced in TN a few
weeks a go?
Thanks.
Vetri.

Subject: [AI] question about Reliance data card
Hai Folks:
I bought the Reliance mobile datacard basically to use it on the laptop
(which is yet to be shipped from Japan). I was told during the time of
purchase that the card can be used on a desktop as well. They gave me a
pen drive and said I just have to insert it on the USB port and type in
the number given to me to connect to the internet (that is, of course,
after installing the software). I installed the software and don't
exactly know where to type in the number to connect to the internet.
The
box that appears reads as "profile name: combo box Reliance, one of
one". When I press the tab key it goes to the connect button. If anyone
is using Reliance datacard, pl help me use it. I have taken the plan in
which we can use 15hrs surfing in the day and 30 hrs in the night.
Thanks in advance.
Subramani
