Hello I'm not familiar with the 4D database market . We all know that for thousands of applications, MySQL and PHP are the solution , not at least because the developer world speaks this languages. If I ( as a developer which uses 4D and Active4D ) may be asked, who can replace me , or support me , then I have no answer…
I'm developing for many years the editorial system and its output channels for the "Jungfrau Zeitung" (www.jungfrauzeitung.ch) . The big publishing companies from Germany, Switzerland and Austria have looked at it, and were surprised that a small publisher of a local newspaper could create such a product. They were interested in our product, but we can not sell it, because I can not provide support for this product, because there are not enough developers who know 4D. I ask the question in another way: How can we support the Master of Active4D, so that he continues his support? In the world of cars was the same situation. Everyone knew there's still someone who can repair the Mercedes Benz 200D alternator, and hoped that this man will live a long time. You gave him more money than he demanded that he continue using his talent for his services. The talent of Aparajita is phenomenal. Perhaps we have to pay more for Active4D periodically, that he will go on spend time for Active 4D and for us.
