Pamina:

UND adheres to a records retention
schedule<http://und.edu/finance-operations/records-management/retentionschedule.cfm>.
The retention and disposition of the files you have identified depends on the
type of document, however would likely fall within one of two categories:
committees, councils and department meetings or correspondence.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Governing boards' email correspondence

Hi,

At the University of New Mexico, the minutes, agendas, and exhibits for our
Board of Regents' meetings are deposited and retained in an online archive, but
we have no formal policy on the retention and disposition of routine Regents'
correspondence, including email communications. I'm interested in knowing
whether other institutions have record retention and disposition policies that
specifically address the routine correspondence, especially email, of Regents
or other governing board members.

Thanks,
Pamina
