Melinda, We have, on occasion, offered such incentives. But these would be of short-term duration, and wouldn't be administered or codified through our University Policy Office. They would merely be vice-presidential initiatives.

I am on the campus-wide incentive plan committee and one of our divisions is considering creating a hiring incentive plan. Ex. Pay current employees $500+ if they refer an applicant who is hired and stays for x-amount of time. Thus, I am looking for examples of incentive plans that provide current employees a financial incentive for referring applicants to the university (ie. for hard-to-fill positions). Thanks!
