Melinda,

Purdue University doesn't have a standing policy on this. However, here's a
link to an announcement about a targeted incentive HR put in place this past
December:

Subject: [acupa-l] Referral incentive plans

Good morning.

I am not sure if this technically falls within the "policy" work for this
group; however, I thought I was ask anyway. I am on the campus-wide incentive
plan committee and one of our divisions is considering creating a hiring
incentive plan. Ex. Pay current employees $500+ if they refer an applicant who
is hired and stays for x-amount of time.

Thus, I am looking for examples of incentive plans that provide current
employees a financial incentive for referring applicants to the university (ie.
for hard-to-fill positions).

Thanks!
