Ann: Ohio State has a Paid Leave Programs policy which sets parameters for paid vacation, sick, parental, jury duty/court appearance, and organ donation leave, as well as vacation donation. It may be accessed here: https://hr.osu.edu/public/documents/policy/policy627.pdf The Paid Leave Programs policy states that parental leave will run concurrently with available FML, which is addressed in our recently-revised Family and Medical Leave policy: https://hr.osu.edu/public/documents/policy/policy605.pdf.

We already have maternity leave as a benefit, and the university wants to expand that to include all parents. What are your thoughts: is something like this a "policy" or "benefit?" Do any of your schools have examples of paid parental or maternity leave policies in place that you can share? Thanks in advance!
