Unfortunately, after it broke away from the ASA, the "historical dialectic" is
no longer represented on our listserv (except when Saul makes a cameo
appearance.
So in our setting -- it's all about personal taste --- even if some of us are
ashamed of that --and that kind of shame or sense of intellectual inferiority
is rather endemic among traditional artists today. (though, definitely not
with Mando!)
