thingness is in the world - it is difference - it awaits the minds awareness of it - given MH believes we live in a world of illusions created by language - whose thingness we so often do not reflect on and in a normative state depend on - thingness instead stands in opposition to the symbolic realmof language and depends on experience and abstract not literary thought
