That’s how I got my tower.

I was inquiring about leasing land to build a new tower and they didn’t want 
another tower built.

But then told me they were going to have another tower owner tear everything 
down to the ground because the owner didn’t want to renew.

I asked the land owner if they wouldn’t mind if I just took the tower and 
created my own lease with the land owner.

After a couple of months of legal re-working, I had the tower free of any 
expense and a new land lease.

I agree with David.  Many times the decom is happening because of the land 
lease with the land owner.

get with the land owner.  Sometimes, they will just turn the tower
over to the land owner (save expense of decom).  Then, maybe you can
just work out a good lease with them.  Then you don't have the
liability for the tower - the land owner does.  Believe me - we own
