I was really excited to find the Who’s ‘Who’s Next’ on CD when it came out came 
out because the record always sounded like shit - lots of hiss and noise.   And 
then I played the CD.   OK, I’ll give them credit - it wasn’t the record that 
sounded like shit, it was the master tapes.   Hiss perfectly rendered in 
digital.   Arg.
