Maybe.

 

I don’t understand the whole brand thing.  Like RCN buys WoW and rebrands it 
Astound?  Personally I would not choose a name that sounds like AssTown.  And 
AT&T had UVerse but then the geniuses decided to rebrand it … AT&T Internet!  
Or Viasat buys WildBlue, renames it Exede, then renames that … Viasat!

 

Personally I think they do it when the trucks need repainting.

At least in the case of Comcast, they see their "cable business" (NBC
included) as declining value, so they are shifting their revenue stream to the 
one thing they have left.
