You know Faisal, I partially agree with that. We really don’t know how many people have been killed from random bombings and those definitely harbor bad feelings. I’m not saying that taking out bad guys is a bad thing, but by abandoning all other military options and abandoning the countries we needed to help rebuild, we left a lot of open wounds. A lot of the people that helped us in the Middle East felt abandoned. We need a solid presence that stands as the wall people could lean on and count on. Instead, we left too many innocent people to die and became the country nobody could count on. Then we snipe from the dark and kill innocents that never should have been in the line of fire to begin with.
I will say this though, I’m not convinced ISIS is a political or religious movement as much as I think it’s a bunch of leftover military thugs from Sadam Hussein’s army who run ISIS just getting rich and using zealots to mask the operation. The amount of money they have stolen is staggering. Most folks don't how how much we have been molesting with other nations and their politics, until the crazy's show up and start killing people for no rhyme or reason !.... Then suddenly everyone is acting surprised ? Politicians twisting the situation for their own benefit, saying anything, twisting facts as they will , asking ..... Why do they hate us ? why do they want to kill us ? and offering their own twisted answers ... etc etc... The answer from the other side is, see now you know how we have been feeling ? see how you have been messing with us, our families etc... ! I do not condone such acts of violence for any reason... but how many of us realize with the daily bombings of Syria, drone attacks in Pakistan etc etc etc... are affecting the common people there who have nothing to do with the politics !.... The world is not becoming a safer place for anyone with such actions... Regards. My point was, regardless of the candidates, is that the vast majority of voters simply don’t know the facts, don’t care about the facts, and are not prepared to provide a vote that is based on research and education. I can ask 10 people what the Trans Pacific Partnership was about and 10 of them won’t have a clue. Show a picture of Biden to 10 people and I’d be surprised if 8 of them recognize him and his position in the government. Most of them don’t have any idea of our country’s history, could tell you the difference between Democracy, Socialism, and Communism, or even know who fought in World Wars, the Civil War, or even which side won. The fact is, even with all the resources available to the public today, the average voter is more ignorant today than in the past. The all know the Kardashians but few of them could name off their Senators or Congressman. This isn’t partisan, this is the state of our country today. Picking out supporters of any candidate for being ignorant is trite when the entire electorate is clueless. With 90% of the people not even knowing who the vice-president is, you can always find idiots who will vote for Mickey Mouse if he said he was for some hot political topic.
