Lots of cripples and dead folks thanks to distracted driving, Worse than drunk driving. I come from a family of EMT/Paramedic/Firefighters so I have the gritty details of the consequences of distracted driving, not just the family friendly newspaper accounts, I watched and held the hand of a 6 yo old girl as she declined from fully awake and alert, to vomitting, to progessive loss of mental faculty and finally coma from a motor vehicle accident head injury, thankfully the helicopter took her away to die. Distracted driving laws are not about generating revenue.
But as far as US drivers go, definitely some serious variance in capability, I was running 60-70 yesterday all day, because im capable and can react. when we have really bad weather, black ice in particular, Im mor inclined to take my 2 wheel drive minivan on country roads to stay off the main roads where the idiots are, you get the 4wd guys that think theyre invincible, they tend to end up on their top after hammering some minivan into a ditch, or the people running 20 on an interstate who wonder why they get ass ended. Probably is best to just let me review all drivers before they can get on the road On Tue, Dec 29, 2015 at 11:48 AM, Mike Hammett <[email protected]> wrote: > I am against the distracted driving laws altogether.
