I am against the distracted driving laws altogether. It's a revenue generator more than anything else.

I travel all over this country… and I am consistently enraged. New York City area was the only place where people seemed to know what they were doing. Things are so frantic, if you’re not paying close attention, you’re going to get in an accident. I’m actually in favor of making getting a driver’s license much more difficult. People in Europe are better drivers on the average in my experience (Latvia and Germany). Annual car inspections (broken windshield, balding tires… that car is taken off the road). Forced drivers education. Can confirm, nobody here knows how to drive. Cruise control obviously hasn't been invented yet, and if you want to pass a single semi, be prepared for the guy in front of you to swerve into the passing lane without using a turn signal just so he can pace the semi for a good 20 miles.
