Problem is that once you do it. It's done and they can do it again, and again. 
If you think it will only ever get used on this ONE phone then you are

As I understand it, that is exactly what the gov is asking them for. FBI 
wants Apple to decrypt and send over the data. Nothing more. No 
"software on every phone" to do this. Just that ONE phone. Get the data, 
then incinerate the device.
