Not sure why you only have 40 Mbps capacity, are you talking 10 MHz channels?

Anyway, sounds like it uses MU-MIMO and beamforming and works best in a dense
environment, I assume because then you have lots of busy SMs throughout the
sector and it can aim at several at once. If you have 10 SMs and they are all
at the same azimuth, probably don’t gain much?

So am I reading this right? Say you have an aggregate of 40Mb/s AP capacity.
Throw in a 450M and all of a sudden you have 160Mb/s without changing SM's?

when did they say the 450M access point was coming out, i plan on buying 8
450i radios next week <image001.png> my guess is don't hold my breath right?

How about this ass-umption. 4x4 MIMO? How about beam steering?

      So im assuming 4 streams @ 256qam 125 Mbps = 500 Mbps

450m increases AP capacity by letting the AP talk to multiple SMs at
the same time. I don’t think it increases throughput to an individual SM, that

new AP and antenna, it will work with existing 450 and 450i SMs.

Have they said anything about a new cheaper sm that does the entire
5ghz band and gb ethernet, otherwise a 450i is still going to be needed to take
advantage of that 500mb, even mu-mimo on 2 sms can only do 200mb? not 500mb
right? I think aaron gave a hint a few weeks back about a new sm.

Right but you can do +100 Mbps aggregate to a 450 SM.

500 aggregated in the AP, not to SMs... ?
