OK, that provides some clarity but also more confusion. Not sure I’m looking at the same document as you, I see Introduction on page 5.
But in the 14.1.2 release notes, I see nothing about 430 at all. In the 14.2.1 release notes, I do see a Note that 430 SMs must first go to 14.1.2 before 14.2.1, and a Note they will no longer be able to talk to a 430 AP. I am not seeing anything about having to do the upgrade over the air (which is really strange IMHO). Are you seeing this explicitly stated in the release notes, or inferring it from the fact that 13.4.1 is that last download listed on the website for 430? If you need to connect the 430SM back to a 430 AP you'll need to manually downgrade the SM to 13.4.1 tho. We can’t go to 14.1.2 which is what we have on all our 450 stuff. Does anyone know if in fact alignment tone is non functional on a 430 SM with 13.4.1?
