Keep in mind that AFMUG and even the WISPA list is an echo chamber. What one needs, another does not. There are some very vocal people in these communities.
That said, I have spent years talking directly with Matt, Ben, Robert and many of the developers. They are often out of touch, but sometimes it's actually myself that is. When you can post a 20-40mil gain in a single quarter time after time on a given line without direct sales, you are doing something right.
