Yeah, I'm pretty sure that you're right - it needs -4/5 +7/8 for power over
sync to work. I know that's the case with the 1000, and I'm pretty sure
that I've powered ePMP 2000s with that pinout, although I can't remember
where at the moment... anyway, the chances of it blowing anything up are
pretty tiny, so I'd just hook it up that way and see if it works. I don't
think I've come across anything yet that does PoE on a gigabit port that
won't take any power pinout you throw at it.
