I'm not particularly interested in the Hutter prize as lossless compression is not a good measure of the usefulness of an AGI model. But it is indeed a more objective measure and thus easier to eliminate racism in its evaluation. As is often the case, in more objectively definable domains, the less racism can hide. I appreciate that you have tried to make things fair for that prize, but that's not enough for more complex domains such as businesses. Many Chinese people are obsessed with high scores in exams to the detriment of creative thinking and this is unhealthy, but they have very little choice as racism is rampant in the world at large, and even in the academic world such as paper reviews. The problem of racial bias can be eliminated or greatly reduced by making things *open* and *transparent* and allowing *AI adjudication*. These are the policies that I'm advocating for. I'm not just interested in getting a prize (although I admit it would be a non-trivial achievement) but the extra work is a little detour from the right direction. I think the academic and business world need some reforms too, which world have sounded too idealistic in the past, so the racists could be snickering in secret and hide in the complexities of real-life competition. But now I see there is a way to change that. I'm not even welcomed in my own country or hometown of Hong Kong. People treat me like some kind of *enfant terrible*, I got banned in every group I joined, just for advocating to end racism. It's totally counter-intuitive, but they hate me because I would be extremely successful if I can overcome this barrier, but I also had unfair advantages over them and this combination drives them furious... > ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T8c5b5a041e72e8cd-M3463bfb8cf0720b35456d252 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
