Isn't it racist to make generalizations about racial or ethnic groups? Even
if it's true?

The problem of racial bias can be eliminated or greatly reduced by making

AI is racist by default because there really are stereotypical differences
between races that people learn and that LLMs learn from people. We can use
RL to train LLMs not to make racist statements but that doesn't make the
problem go away in people. Neither does using RL on people, as we have been
trying since around 1970. All it does is make people try to hide and deny
their racism.

I don't have a good answer to this problem. Maybe open borders and ease of
travel will lead to more genetic mixing of the races and the problem will
fade away. But probably not in our lifetimes.
