Ben:You foolishly believe that the things you subjectively perceive as "shapes" cannot be recognized & comprehended by algorithmic processes
If I'm "foolish", you should be able to produce some evidence that the irregular shapes/forms of natural objects like faces and rocks *can* be comprehended by algorithmic processes. And you should be able to explain what sort of common visual elements such shapes share - and would thus form the basis of algorithms. You can't produce any evidence or empirical argument here. Zilch. There isn't a formula/algorithm for raindrops, for example http://kua.dk/media/waves18.jpg - like all natural objects they encompass too many vastly diverse shapes/forms. You *state* that the world is patterned (and therefore algorithmic) - you just can't produce anything to back it up. Those drops ain't patterned. Nor is any type of real world scene as a whole. ------------------------------------------- AGI Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/21088071-c97d2393 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21088071&id_secret=21088071-2484a968 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
