You're the only AGI-er I know who understands this - that geometry and maths are not fundamentals of world design, but recent inventions. And as you indicate, they were clearly born with technology - geometry with the need to construct complex structures, arithmetic with the need to calculate complex trading transactions. Before then, and for over a million years of crude technology, no one needed maths. Please tell Steve and everyone else about this.
