The goal of strong/human-level AI goes back to the start of AI. "AGI" was
certainly a more precise focussing of the goal. And we need still more
precise focussing.

We really need a timeline chart of the AGI progress that has been made
over
the past 15 years, looking back then looking forward...
The first time I remember hearing "AGI" at all was in about 2003....
up to then the proper way to approach AI was as we all know in the
sober narrow sense.
