Ben was working on Webmind/Intelligenesis 98'ish? I don't remember if he called it AGI then. That's when I first started representing Sigma Polyplexic as a theoretical construct and I tried to register the Google name 2 months after it was taken, polyplexic instead as a variant of googleplex verses the shortened google :) But "General intelligence" as a term was used often then... AGI as a concept though I believe has been around for hundreds of years and more recently as just AI.
