The underlying monetary system forces us into constant competition with
each other. Thinking of yourself as a separate and isolated being seem
only natural within this framework and culture.
If your AGI "grows up" learning that in order to survive it will need to
take stuff away from others it would most likely show the same
(primitive) traits. Hopefully it will realize that it can obsolete the
dilemma by changing the rules as it becomes super intelligent. Maybe
humanity really needs AGI systems in order to overcome this zero sum
madness and egocentric rule set.
