Logan,

Herding cats and AGI developers is SUCH a difficult task. It seems that
most here would rather speculate on what the future might hold, rather than
turn out something in the next year that would be worth a LOT of money to
fund their speculations into actual projects.

No, my project is NOT the be-all and end-all of AI/AGI, but it IS simple
enough to take a big bite from the Internet with an acceptable level of
*PAID* effort, and good enough to do better than the things you suggested!!!

Continuing...

If this is true, then describe it, patent it, own it, and get your own
project funded and going.

I suggest reading the 8788263 <http://www.google.com/patents/US8788263> patent.
Here, once you have done the basic pieces, like Legos, they can be
assembled in a variety of ways to make different products, e.g. expert web
sites, better advertising engines, sales lead generators, etc.

You seem to have your head stuck in a VERY small box.

Here is the "little" detail about the real world they didn't tell you in
school:

To practice the "scientific method" in hyper-complex domains like medicine,
it is necessary to first read pretty much EVERYTHING ever written in a
particular sub-domain, then develop a hypothesis that is not inconsistent
with anything you have read, and finally to address new problems from the
POV of that hypothesis. This is RARELY done, and adding the noise of
thousands of contributors who haven't done this does NOT make for more than
a hyper-mediocre product. A human-engineered knowledge base following this
approach will handily outperform ANY automated approach using Wikipedia,
etc.

Correct, but that isn't the topic of our discussion - just the textual
analysis method and its application as described in the 8788263
<http://www.google.com/patents/US8788263> patent.

So there you are. Everything on your list is already on the Internet, and
some of it (like Yahoo's polling software on its forums, on which I put up
a site *EdgewoodWA* for a local politician just a few weeks ago, so she
could poll her constituency regarding specific issues) has already made
money for Yahoo, et al.

However, I have something newer and apparently much more valuable - if you
will just take the time to read the 8788263
<http://www.google.com/patents/US8788263> patent and see where this is
going.

Full employment can be had with the stoke of a pen. Simply institute a six
hour workday. That will easily create enough new jobs to bring back full
employment.
