As a male, I'm sure you are used to compartmentalizing information. However there are no isolated systems, all of them interact with each other. This could be considered a discussion about how to promote "Friendly AGI/ASI". For example, Microsoft's chatbot Tay (application of computer science), turned into a "racist asshole" in less than a day of conversing with twitter users: http://www.theverge.com/2016/3/24/11297050/tay-microsoft-chatbot-racist Twitter users aren't even a co-ordinated effort really, so the purpose of this thread was to explore how to mitigate AGI's or ASI's which have been programmed to be intentionally aggressive. In your compartmentalization, you may believe that religion and operating systems are different, just as human language and computer programming are different. However to an AGI they are really the same thing, human language is simply used to program humans rather than machines. Religion is just one example of large (human language) programs that affect currently living AGI's (humans). While Radical Islam is an example of an aggressive one, it is just a case study; Nazi Christianity, Colonialism, and many kinds of racism/discrimination may be one of the underlying or even unifying problems. For example not too long ago, there was a ferocious war between the Tamil Tigers (hindus), and the Sri Lankan Buddhists. Similarly to the tafkir the Tamil Tigers killed moderate Tamils, to increase radicalization, and generally committed many atrocities against the Buddhists as well. They were eventually defeated with an aggressive front. In this case I'm wondering if many of these Tamil Tigers were actually a result of earlier racism which they had experienced from the Sri Lankan Buddhists. A vicious cycle as it is called. So my refined question is how to: a) avoid AGI's turning racist b) increase tolerance in AGI's which may be racist Racism in AGI/ASI is somewhat more worrying, because they could be racist against humans or even all water-based lifeforms. - From my perspective understanding that adaptive-capacity increases rate of survival, and that water-based or solid-based host-bodies are host-bodies. Though perhaps not everyone feels the same way.
