I believe that all things in creation have purpose. For example I have a pet theory in regards to Y-chromosomal Adam: As he is pegged somewhere between 190-300kya so likely during the second last glacial period. Food was scarce, and there was still a fairly high diversity of various hominids. Also he had a high forehead and smaller eyebrows than Homo heidelbergensis, making him rather distinctive, also was leaner and faster. So to provide food and territory for the family, he would run on raiding parties destroying any other kinds of hominids, likely only leaving attractive (low body hair) females which were procreated with. This "common" male behaviour has been ongoing for many thousands of years -- more recently as exemplified by the Vikings and Varingians -- so it may have been the successful strategy that Y-chromosomal Adam innovated. This would also explain the disappearance of other hominid types as Homo Sapien Sapien approached, even though many had been peacefully co-habitating beforehand. Though the "kill theory" is unsavoury, it is certainly a type of behaviour that is well documented and continues to be exemplified in our species, such as with Trump, and radical jihadist Islam which has a similar promise of violence followed by procreation (in the afterlife). The common chimpanzee is also rather violent though within their own group. We are more closely related to bonobos, which are rather peaceful with their in-group. My theory with Mitochondrial Eve who lived during the most recent glacial period is that language was her primary innovation, but also a liking for older men, which increases likelihood for bearing females, as well as likely queen-bee food hoarding, as exemplified by Venus statues, and would have prevented other females from being fertile during times of famine. The reason I say language, is because the spread of language families follows the progression of the descendants of mitochondrial eve. Those that went south made the clicking languages, and those that went north didn't have any clicks. Anyways so Y-chromosomal Adams approach if recreated by some ASI, could be rather detrimental to diversity, unless the in-group was identified as the whole of planet earth, and it's procreative ambitions were directed outwards to transforming the regolith of other planets into life. Fortunately solid-based life forms are not constrained by liquid-water biomes, so direct competition would be more costly than moving to other biomes. Similarly to how homo sapiens generally stayed out of the jungles where their chimpanzee ancestors flourished, and also to how very few of those that left Africa ever returned, preferring instead to spread outwards to new and uncultivated lands, with fewer diseases and less competition. In conclusion, one of the ways I see of alleviating racism/discrimination, is understanding it's utility and applying it only where it is useful. For instance a peaceful example where discrimination is useful is in mutual-aid organizations, where those people that are members of the organization receive aid, and those who are not, do not. Members are assumed to help the organization in some way, thus allowing it to continue to aid members. More specific example is families, religious membership, and citizenship.
