That's only because that some narrow AI products are not there yet.

Could you describe a piece of technology that simultaneously:
- Is required for AGI.
- Cannot be required part of any useful narrow AI.

Yes, that's one way to go (convert existing narrow AI into narrow AI with
similar functionality and plugability).

Another way to go -- use existing narrow AIs as prototypes when
building AGI.
