From: "Elizabeth Nolan" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Teresa Our hospital would love a city radiographer to come for a year to help our shortage. There are a number of hospitals in the western Queensland short on staff. This would help our case for a PDY to do their year and have constant supervision. Great thought.
>>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 06/11/2002 21:50:22 >>> From: Teresa <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> It seems that some states are in a chronic shortage of radiographers and others are in a surplus. Perhaps those in shortage need to look at some exciting packages to tempt some radiographers away from the states that are in surplus. On the subject of PDY's, are there any city folk who would take a year in the rural /remote areas to enable some PDY's to go through in accredited sites. If some of the rural sites could make it attractive to get someone for a year it would solve 2 problems, jobs for the PDY's who would then be required to do a year in a rural area and the rural site would get someone for 2 years. Perhaps we need to invest $ in our workforce. A little bit of lateral thinking, some innovative contracts and some education by radiographers of HSM's or GM's.
