Re oil pressure gauges---Ever since we installed a 3 liter in my GTV-6, the
oil pressure gauge has behaved intermittently up and down--sometimes going up
with decreasing RPMs, sometimes the opposite direction. Usually (as one would
expect) reading high when dead cold [here that means around 70 degrees F.],
but once warm unpredictably being all over the place. I keep thinking (since
it seems to vary based on engine temp) that the oil pump's overpressure relief
spring is erratic. Possible?
