It reports it with the mode numeric (324) and then it has a channel name. > Or is this different with all ircd? No, look below > When it says "changing channel modes" then how is this mode transmitted? +channelmode, ie +n. > When I make a /mode #channel I can see the recognized modes in plain text > and the others as simple letters. Yes, since they are nonstandard and have different meanings on different nets. > Hmm, ok. You don't know 'which modes' the ircd uses. > Although it would be nice to have them listed completely in a field > (like the topic field e.g.), just for convenience. Well, AmIRC only supports the rfc, thats why all other modes are just passed along. And you can't know all channel modes since the ircd only reports what modes are set, like +ntl 30, so you can't know all modes that ircd knows without adding specific support for it. //Ian Kumlien ___________________________________________________________________ AmIRC Mailing List - http://www.vapor.com/amirc/ AmIRC FAQ......: http://faq.vapor.com/amirc/ Listserver Help: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=HELP Unsubscribe....: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=UNSUBSCRIBE
