ok, whatever.. lol @ windows works correctly :)

yes, I know, but we try to always have a stable release, but always provide
something to the users.. it doesn't tire developers as far as I know, it
just might bore them.. it doesn't keep stuff very 'action-packed'...anyways,
we used to do more often releases.. but the only reason why it takes such a
long time is because a lot of developers are not active, so we don't do much
development and it stalls for a while!

I think that it doesn't have to be a request.. asking 'give me a thanks
gift" doesn't really make it a gift. anyways, we're doing this as a hobby,
it's open source, it's on our free time and noone is forced to work on it..
we do it because we love to do it.. if we can't work on it, it's because we
don't have time.. if you get a tshirt, I'm not sure if it will actually help
you get more free time in your life, so I don't think it will change
anything! Anyways, search the amsn-devel ML archives, there has been lots of
discussion about this stuff already! We were going to do a "get a reward for
each bug/feature you do based on difficulty/commits/etc.." and the result
was a big flame with everyone (iirc) saying "no, we don't want that, we're
doing it for fun, not for money", and the result, the commits completely
stopped! search the amsn-devel archives again, you'll see...
anyways, no, we didn't pay for the conference in belgium.. first, the
conference was free, secondly, those who came, they came because they could,
not because it was a "everything paid" trip, most of us paid for everything
ourselves, train, plane, etc.. aMSN was able to pay for the hotel though and
help a few of the poorer with a little contribution. But all of this is just
pissing me off, it's noone's concern if amsn has money left or not, it's a
private matter between admins, and I do not beleive that developers should
start putting their nose inside of our financial situation!
The money that we get from ads was there for the web hosting mainly, then
oxilion (formerly jronline) decided to give us the space for free, so the
money is there to help us in case they stop giving us free hosting, it also
pays for the domain name... how much money we get, how much we can afford
for gifts, travel, conferences, whatever is not of anyone's concern right
now. We're doing free development, let it stay free!

you shouldn't consider them "richer" than amsn.. you should consider that
mozilla has money, and aMSN doesn't, that's all there is to say, there is no
comparison here to be done!

yes, that's cool! I also thought of maybe making the nickname flash by
changing the color of the nickname in the tab! It's nice, I just think we
should work on making it better visually.. right now, I miss the border
relief around the tabs... and I noticed that the first tab has the 'X'
button too far from the edge....

we already have our own website which was written from scratch, is
beautifully done and we spent a lot of time on it, there is no need to
rewrite it! All that needs to be done is to adapt it! There was already
discussion about this.. the website was made so that it would be
multilangual, we just need to have someone take care of finishing the
multilanguage support and to translate it!
Just checkout the www branch in svn, and start hacking it up if you want to!
Make sure you don't break anything.. if you ever modify stuff, put it on
some website before committing (if you commit, the website will be
automatically updated/refreshed the next day) so we can test it.. we had an
enormous trouble making it render correctly on IE, opera, firefox and
safari.. so put it somewhere so people with different browsers can test it!

lol, you're with us for so long now and you still say that? :p
anyways, sorry about the earlier messages, but it just pisses me off when
people start talking about money, you shouldn't be greedy or want gifts and
stuff as rewards.. I've been busting my ass off for aMSN for 7 years now,
the amount of time I've given to aMSN is enormous and my reward is mainly
that people are happy using it and that thanks to the experience I gained
with aMSN, I was able to find decent jobs and had great career
opportunity... I think that's the reward you should be looking for : make
people happy! money/pins/tshirts is just a useless accessory to all of this!
