I think it was not his intention to assume anything about the money you have or not, what he was trying to say is just that "pins shouldn't be that expensive after all". And his point was that with some little gratification people might feel more encouraged to contribute more, but I doubt that a pin would make any difference... I know I'd be throwing it in the bin right away ;) Still he's got a point that may be valid, except that the solution is not optimal: with even little gratification one can feel more encouraged to contribute some more. But you can give even greater gratification with something not at all expensive, like a "contributor of the month" box on the website, for instance. For some reason people seem to like to show their ugly faces on websites (that explains facebook) and its easier to show it to your friends than a pin. Also your friends will believe that it is true if they see you on aMSN's website, a pin could be taken from anywhere... You get the point ;) I don't think it is a necessity, but I always think that elaborating on ideas is good :D -- Stéphane ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apps built with the Adobe(R) Flex(R) framework and Flex Builder(TM) are powering Web 2.0 with engaging, cross-platform capabilities.
