Hi,
I have some questions on how to use hostexclude.
To exclude some hosts, I added the following lines to my .cfg file:
DNS WRITE
HOSTALIAS 142.36.126.167 something.bc.ca
HOSTEXCLUDE something.bc.ca
In the General summary, only 'the approximate number of distinct visitors'
changed. The others, such as 'successful requests for pages', 'failed
requests', 'total number of unique pages access' and 'total data
transferred, still remain the same. Is this expected?
I also got 2 warnings:
analog: Warning F: Failed to open DNS input file
/usr/local/analog/dnscache: ignoring it
analog: Warning F: Failed to create DNS lock file
/usr/local/analog/dnslock: backing off to DNS LOOKUP
Would it have effects on the results?
Thanks a lot!
Beiyan
