Thanks again. I think I am missing something here! I pass along my command
line and a section from my cfg file, for with these I will get my own host
included (although from the command line, as you suggest) I do not

With the correction 160 -> 168, this works fine for me. For example,
analog ~/tmp/he.log -G -A +Sr1 +a +C"HOSTALIAS 192.168.0.2 www.foo.org" \
+C"HOSTEXCLUDE www.foo.org"
(where ~/tmp/he.log is your logfile) produced:
