FWIW, a sellers cooperative is "for profit" insofar as the organization 
tries to earn money (Ocean Spray doesn't give away their cranberries), 
but there are rules on the books that prohibit the organization from 
either unduly withholding retained earnings or skewing the profit 
distribution.

An LLC can enact whatever rules its owners decide upon or amend, for 
better or for worse.
