JP,

I don't think he's as innocent as he's making out.

Firstly he claims that going public would risk his day job. The guy
works for himself at the company he founded, so how, exactly, could that
be true?

Secondly, He's recently got an MBA, he claims he has been involved in a
lot of companies before, and his job at his company is as a
Stategy/Entrepreneurship and/or Finance consultant, so it's not like he
isn't aware of the ins and outs of funding and running a start-up.

Finally, He's got my back up. I'll happily admit it. I get peeved at
people who try to pull stunts like this and this guy has hit my button
and pushed it further than it should be pushed, so I decided to call him
out. I wanted to stop his "secret side-job society of top developers
with a 200 dollar joining fee" nonsense which may sound appealing to
some people, and make him stand up and be counted.

So yes, maybe it was unprofessional, and yes, it may have been a little
unnesserary, but hopefully it will also kill off the idea you can post
here asking people for money with shady ideas and expect to remain unknown.

Al.
