Shane, I'm not sure you or I can guarantee that Googles remote disabling couldn't hit apps distributed via SlideME or AndAppStore.
My guess it that it's going to be a simple apk hash check (or even more disasterously packagename/version code combination) which, if the apk distributed via the Market matches one distributed via SlideME or AndAppStore could result in the app distributed via either of our sites being disabled/uninstalled. Until we have a definitive word from Google I'm assuming that their remote disabling stuff could interfere with the services we offer independently of them. Al.
