I actually think the Android platform is 'improving' iPhone sales and promoting developers to flock to it. How many people devoted time to learn Android, then decide its really not worth it compared to the 'other' phone.
Many people (including myself) on this forum have mentioned that they are going to develop for the iPhone. Google really needs to change the 'enjoy free software' rule. It will be the death of developers everywhere for this platform. Does anyone really need 24 whole hours to determine if they like an app? And why, oh why, are we forced to use Google Checkout - with its difficult verification process? I personally have Mac Mini on order - the first computer I've bought that I didn't really want to buy - but I feel I have no choice given the market situation. In the meantime, I'm working with other platforms as well. I haven't given up hope entirely for Android, it could still come around, but the app purchase policy is terrible and NEEDS to change. One hour is plenty to tell if you like something or not. Certainly not 24 hours (or more). As other developers have pointed out, my future projects for Android are on hold indefinitely until Google gets its act together and supports developers appropriately. My 2 cents. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
