Agreed about the top 25 / 50 situation on iPhone. Most iPhone apps disappear quickly into oblivion so need a huge marketing push to get noticed.
I think people here are taking their chances with Android because there is less competition, quicker to get to market and its still an emerging market. Of course, we could all be wrong and Android could fail, but at least we all tried to support the superior platform!!
