I have had multiple WinMo and Linux devices and there are apps from my
old Palm days that I still miss. While the TRGPro was my workhorse,
the most beautiful PDA I ever owned was the Sony Clie. I wish I
hadn't sold it to get an Axim. I even had both Kyocera Palm phones.
They were bricks but useful from day one - unlike the brick, I mean
phone (*cough* G1 *cough*) sitting on my desk right now.

I think the fact that the Pre included a Palm emulator shows that the
company knew it would keep some customers who might have otherwise
gravitated to other phones. I'm not in the medical field but Palm
still has the most applications there. If I had expensive custom
software like that, the Pre would be a no-brainer.

I think the day the Pre is available in the US for GSM networks will
be a bad day for Android.
