Al, you are right. I think that companies that invested millions have (hopefully) better information from Google than we poor people have.
But it is necessary to keep in mind that applications created by non professional developers has much more than millions downloads from the market. I believe that we are also contributing to Android success or fail (and Google has the immodesty to ask 25 USD for permission to provide people free only apps) and I think we should get at least some info.
