$50 per month!? Im British and don't really know what the exchange rate is at the moment but if that's the cheapest contract available where you live you're being ripped off. I'm paying about £12.75 per month for my Hero. Admittedly this is for 18 months, but its still a far cry from the two years of $50 you were lamenting. And $400 is a lot to lose. If you're concerned about losing your money, just buy a cheaper phone! I'm sure you have deals like the ones we have here (£10 for a phone with no added extras at all.) Two or three opinions? Care to give an example?
