. I live in USA and have an old
Virgin Mobile contract,
that gives me emergency service
and 10cent /minute calls for just $7/month .
. generally, however, the reason USA rates
are so much higher than European rates
is that the European population
is a lot more compact
than America's population,
and thus easier to build infrastructure for;
other than that,
it helps to have Europeans
already having gone through
a lets-be-fair revolution,
where the consumer class has ridden on
the successes of the labor class .
. alas, American Capitalists
own the cell phones,
the genetic patents on our foods,
the idea patents on our commonsense software,
and even the performance drugs .
